School Life

This page contains detailed information about the instruction materials used in our lessons, as well as our annual schedule.

Classes Monday - Friday

There are morning and afternoon class sessions.

Students will attend either morning or afternoon sessions, depending on their course and level.

Morning class sessions 9:00 - 12:30

Afternoon class sessions 1:30 - 5:00

Interviews will be held prior to admission, and students will take a placement test to determine their level.

In all levels, students will have the opportunity to make balanced improvement in the four primary skills of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Teaching materials used in class

The primary materials to be used in each class are given below, however, there may be some variation in the specific materials used in a particular class.

At Hokkaido AskGate Japanese Language School, we also offer support for online home study.

We use a study management system called Moodle to assist with preparation and review outside of class.
